If it was ÂNavarasa Nayagan Karthik who did an important role in VikramÂs last venture ÂRaavananÂ, the CheeyanÂs forthcoming film, tentatively titled ÂDheiva MaganÂ, would have Karthik Kumar in a pivotal role.
Popular for playing ÂNRI mappillai characters, Karthik would play a crucial role in the movie being directed by Vijay of ÂKireedam and ÂMadrasapattinam fame, say sources close to the unit.
ÂThough it is a cameo, the role Karthik is playing in the movie is very important. The actor is happy about the joining the unit and the film is fast shaping up, the sources further say.
Remember it was the same Karthik Kumar who played the lead role in VijayÂs second directorial venture ÂPoi Solla PoromÂ, a comedy caper which is about a familyÂs fight for its house.
